Holland Innovative (HI) is specialized in product development and process optimization of complex systems. HI Sports, your specialist for data-driven sport turf care, has developed an innovative system that helps you to get insights in to the variables affecting your pitch. This will support you to maintain the pitch in a data driven way by assessing the relationship between grass quality, pitch performance and the match experience of the players. In collaboration with Johan Cruijff ArenA this system is currently rolled out to KNVB and well known others.
Football places high demands on the pitch. The vitality and characteristics of the pitch have significant impact on:

The system is based on successfully proved methods and techniques that High Tech companies use to optimize their products and production processes. These methods find their origin in agricultural research were they are dealing with many influences within the investigated subject. We have brought this knowledge back to sports grass.
The system incorporates the biology of the grass, sensor technology and data modelling and analytics. The system incorporates also an interactive player feedback system to be able to make direct relations between pitch quality and performance.
Benefits of the system are a perfect pitch, reduced amount of pitch replacements, learning model for predictive pitch development as well as maintenance, reduced costs.

Pitch Vitality scan
With our ‘Pitch Vitality Scan’ we offer a complete screening of the pitch. This screening will give a credible insight into the main influences that are accountable for the pitch, it’s presentation and it’s performance.
The Pitch Vitality Scan is an intensive scan based on a proper preparation and a one-week visit where we will measure the required parameters needed for a perfect pitch. Afterwards we will do the analysis, reporting and presenting the results.

Based on your wishes and problem areas with the pitch or stadium we can customize this package to meet your requirements and development goals. New innovative techniques can be added and/or developed to evaluate your pitch.
Perfect Pitch
With our ‘Perfect Pitch’ we supply the measurement tools, climate sensors and analytical support to maintain a perfect pitch year round. Based on the ‘Pitch Vitality Scan’ and the customers wishes custom made measuring and monitoring plan will be made.
The local pitch crew will be trained and supported with measuring and registering data in the personalized (mobile) app and dashboard. This platform makes it possible to keep track of the situation and target values. We will offer support with a weekly analysis, report and advice based on the results and our predictive models.
Perfect Pitch & Concerts
With our ‘Perfect Pitch and Concerts’ we offer you the knowledge and methods, experience and growth models to successfully cover the pitch for big events or concerts. Gras coverage and vitality will be maintained due to a specialized treatment and by adapting the stadiums growing climate before and after the concerned events.
Johan Cruijff ArenA as Living Lab
The Johan Cruijff ArenA is our development partner and acts as a living lab. We strive to an open innovation platform not only focussed on the perfect pitch but also for other innovations. Examples of potential innovations are: shoe development, exercise and health, healthy food, playertracking, a.o. In an age of digitization Johan Cruijff ArenA and HI Sports want to collect, analyse and model data from the pitch and the performance (players) in a broad perspective and like to share their knowledge to be able to enable new innovations.
